Bring on 2012!

December is such a busy and exciting time of the year. Christmas of course keeps us all very busy! And for that reason, this will be my last post of this year 2011. For me, December is a time of planning, dreaming and reflection.

December 21st is Chanukah and the 22nd is the first day of Winter, Christmas Day is the 25th and Boxing Day is the 26th and the 31st is New Years's Eve! Hope I covered most of the "Days"!

I have received a little award from blogland, and I will post about this in the New Year. I may then let you see an up to date pic of me and let you know a bit more about me on that post...(if you really want to know!)

I want to say a big THANK YOU to all my active blog friends that stop in just ta say, "Hello"! You make my day I will be removing "Grab Buttons" that I have placed on my blog that have not visited as well !

Feel free to comment or send me a direct email if you like at:

Surprise Pay It Forward and a Peek Peek

Surprise Pay It Forward and some Pic's at bottom of Post
I was reading my friend Shaz's blog at Alshas Space today, and I was the first to comment on her pay it forward, go see her sweet blog and you may still have time to sign up there or my other blogging friend Tanya at Wee Little Birds may still have a space open as well. So, I am continuing the joy amongst my blogging friends!
Who doesn't love a surprise parcel? I know I do. So, here is what I am promising ... I will send a Surprise Gift to the first three people to comment on this post. This gift will be made by me and I will send it sometime within the next year. Exactly when you will receive it will be a surprise!

Of course there are some rules in this game. Here it goes:

Rules:
1. I will make a little something for the first 3 people that comment on this post. It will be a surprise and may arrive at any time in the next 365 days (yes, a year Good things come to those who wait!).

2. To sign up to receive a gift from me you must play along too. Share the giving love on your blog by promising to send a handmade goodie to the first three people that comment on your blog post.

3. You must have a blog.

4. After commenting on my post, you have to post this (or similar) on your blog to spread the love. If you haven't posted in 48 hours then the next commenter will be chosen. (So, even if your not 1.2.or #3 commenter you can still win!)

I don't know if three people will even get around to commenting on this, but I will say that if you find this post 6 months from now and only 2 people have left a comment, you can still be commenter #3 and get a random goodie from me! When you comment, I'll email you and get your address and then you will get something from me sometime before December 2012!!
Here are a few things I can show on my blog that I have finished, thanks for looking!

Your Blogs Grab Button!

Do you have a Grab Button? Do you want a Grab Button?

I've been wanting to make mine and it's finally done.

Here is what I did, I hope it helps, if you would like to try it let me know if you created your Grab Button and I will post it on my Blog!

1. Choose the image you want to use as your button.
The image should be no larger than 200 pixels wide so it fits most other blogs sidebars etc.

2. Upload your image choice to an image hosting site of your choice. (I used Photobucket.

3. Now, open another browser tab and log into your blogger account. Click on the Design tab and then click on "Add a Gadget" then select HTML/JavaScript.

4. Copy and paste the following code in the text area box:

5. In Photobucket (or wherever you chose to store your button), copy the URL provided by them, and paste it in BOTH places where the code above says YOUR BUTTON LOCATION.

6. Replace the words above in the code YOUR BLOG ADDRESS with...Your true blog address.

7. You can change the size of the code box that will appear for others to copy and paste your code from on their blog by adjusting the numbers,4 stands for how many rows (I have 2 rows)shown and 22 stands for how many columns are shown.

Secret Sewing and Hexie Fun!

Long time since I have posted on my blog or anything on the computer for that matter! My poor ol back is giving me fits once again.

Can you keep a secret? I have been doing some secret sewing. Can't let the cat out of the bag yet tho :o(
So for now, I have signed up with Karen where every week at her blog  Journey of a Quilter she has put together a great little program, One Flower Wednesday and gives everyone a chance to share the hexie flowers we have made for the week.

I am making 1 inch hexagons, paper pieced. Here is what I have done so far.  I have put together 5 flowers.

The main print in the flowers is a fabric I have had for too many moons to count! I have learned to stitch in some strange positions to keep my back happy, I won't go into detail on that tho. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Thank you Karen for the Hexie garden fun.

Hello Old Friends!

Excuse the horrible picture! Well, I have been on blog land just a bit over a month, reading and reading and drooling over all the New Exciting things all the talented people are doing now.

Since my husband and I closed our bakery, I have just felt kinda lost trying to figure out what to do with myself?! Thanks to everyone I have met and been inspired by I dug in the closet and way in the back was my neglected dusty and very dirty old friends.

I think I am going to get in the storage garage and pull out the Rubbermaid totes with my material and many UFOs etc. next!
Thanks for Everyone and your Great Inspiration!
