Chinese Archaic Ritual Bronze Vessel New Pictures

I am updating post with several new Large, original size pictures, so my blog will be out of wack for this post, as I do not want to increase blog size, thank you for putting up with this :-)
This Chinese Archaic Ritual Bronze Vessel has been in my family for many years and I am hoping by putting it on my blog that someone will be able to help me. I am looking for anyone to point me in the direction of an Asian Art Appraiser.

14th Century Ming ?
Tall narrow neck and flaring foot
20 inches tall
Research on symbols of Cicadas, Dragon and Masks

As I am seeking a Certified Appraisal Report. Any information on such an individual will be very appreciated. We have made a few contacts in the past, which I have listed below. The purpose in this search is we would like to eventually sell this piece.

In January 2000, photos were sent to Indianapolis Museum of Art and Mr. James Robinson, Curator Asian Art felt it could date from the late 14th century/Ming dynasty 1368-1644. He states it has more restraint than most later examples from the Qing dynasty 1644-1911.

October of 1999 we received a Retail Replacement Value for Insurance coverage, not a Certified Appraisal Report from Blackard and Geiger, Ltd.

Throwback Thursday Tell All

This is my first time for a Throw Back Thursday post. And I would like to share a picture of myself in the groovy leaf headband and necklace make by the daisy chain method! I was a true flower child. My younger sister Lisa, is on the right, she was such a tomboy, note her wearing pants! (it was Summer)

The two Afghan Hounds were my Cool Uncle Fred's he was visiting us from Indianapolis in his green, Dodge "Super Bee"! My Uncle Fred passed away December 2013.

The target on the tree, was my oldest and only brother Dwight's... he loved BB guns, Dwight passed away 4 years ago this January.

The pup by the trees trunk is one of our Cocker Spaniels, His name was Dane we had 3 when we were growing up. They were some of the best dogs ever.

What dog breeds did you have growing up?

#Mother's Day Proclamation

In honor of the Mother's Day Holiday, I've been looking around and found a few bits and bites I found very interesting.

Philadelphia activist Anna Jarvis (1864-1948) came up with the idea for “Mother’s Day” at the beginning of the 20th century as a tribute to her mother.

On May 10, 1908, in what is considered the first Mother’s Day celebration, she sent 500 carnations to Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church, her mother’s church in Grafton, W.Va. (now a National Historic Landmark since 1992).

The event received an enormously positive response, and after extensive lobbying and letter-writing efforts, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation on May 9, 1914, declaring the second Sunday of May “a public expression of our love and reverence for the mothers of our country.”

Wishing my Mom a wonderful Mother's Day today and all the Mom's under the sun!

#WorldsBiggestStocking One Piece Finished

So happy to share my finished piece to add to the wonderful #WorldsBiggestStocking project!
C2C
#WorldsBiggestStocking
As you can see I used the Corner to Corner method or C2C. I am new to crochet so I love learning and I find that YouTube/Learn to Crochet Video Series is a wonderful tool!

Since my husband had a stroke last August I am now no longer working outside of my home. (Not that staying home is not work!) I find that the Crochet Community in whole is some of the friendliest and generous of heart, time and knowledge. I am making some wonderful connections with so many talents!

I have started on my second donation, and I enjoy each and every stitch.  When it is completed I will be getting back to my first BIG WIP... If you can help or just help to spread the word about this huge effort, it
would be so gratefully appreciated!
